I’ve been really inspired recently by the transformation from autumn to winter, the bare tree limbs against the clear blue sky and the patterns they make.
I also love a good herringbone pattern, but I’ve been disappointed in finding a really good sock design with any sort of herringbone motif. So I just made my own!
I thought the name was fitting because I wrote this pattern just before I embark on an over winter trip to Mexico, so as the trees shed their leaves and winter up north, I'll be wintering on the sunny beaches with my toes in the sand!
Socks in the photos was knit in Midnknit Cravings light sock Foliage colourway, a mix of 85% sw merino and 15% nylon
