My time spent in Prince George with my family has been one of the most enjoyable autumns I can remember, full of time spent outside to squeeze out every last bit of fall before winter comes.
I've been doing so much hiking and camping that it feels like it should be summer, like my summer activities didn't start until a month or two ago. I've been full of so much excitement for the future. I have so many plans and ideas for what I want to do.
Sometimes, it feels like there is not enough time; there are too many things to do. Sometimes, I try to fill up ALL my time with activities because I'm afraid of wasting it. I forget it's also important to slow down to enjoy peaceful moments. They are just as memorable as the chaotic ones.
So, this is a little reminder to myself and to you to slow down and enjoy the little moments between the big ones. Skimming over them can be tempting, but trust me, they're worth it!
In reminding myself of this, I've noticed the small beauties around me. The patterns in the sand by the river, the tiny creeks emerging out of nowhere in the hillside, and the sound that dry autumn leaves make underfoot.
And as well as noticing them, I appreciate the little things. I appreciate that you took some precious time to visit my little blog and read my thoughts. Thank you so much, and I love you!
Gaelyn
Usually it's the little things that mean so much.
